Ever since the first issue in 1978 Cavallino presents extensive stories and detailed information from knowledgeable experts and enthusiasts who share the passion for Ferrari. All Ferraris are unique, and each one has its own chassis serial number. This is how the Ferrari world keeps track of all the great cars. Cavallino is the only publication that prints the serial number for every Ferrari mentioned in our stories, articles, and race results.

10 | Corse | Formula One preview The new year builds on the success of the old Marc Sonnery, Andreas Meiniger Ferrari Spa This year's presentation of Ferrari's F1 car had a unique character: the F2001, unlike the F1-2000 and all its predecessors since 1981, was not a challenger, was not the carrier of increadingly frayed dreams, but a title defender, the first to carry the number one, the coveted 'numero uno', since Jody Scheckter's mount in 1980. Thus the mood, in contrast to the nervous smiles and pressures all too evident in previous years, was one of bullish confidence, and a strong and general desire to confirm and defend the title, as outlined by team principal Jean Todt. |
15 | Corse | A detailed look at the new Ferari for 2001 Ferrari F2001 Giorgio Piola Giorgio Piola In comparing last year's car, the F1-2000, with the new F2001 of this year, you can immediately see the different philosophies of the designs, which start right from the nose. Last year, Ferrari remained with the concept of the high nose, but now it has abondoned that style and the nose of the F2001 droops markedly. The new chassis overall is also interesting; it is quite tall, taller even than last year's car. |

Ferrari and Pininfarina appear to have done the dead successfully. |

Thonnard Marcel Massini, Pierre Goossens The Tour Auto is not easy, covering hundreds of miles through France, with special competitions along the way at various race tracks. It is fiercely contested, and not only by Ferraris. To win a category is exceptional and this year a Ferrari has done it. The Ferrari 275 GTB/4, s/n 10525, of Martin Sucari and Jose Luis Celada, both from Argentina, won the "Sport" class, which is in essence the rally class. |
